is there any new signings imminent? anyone heard anything?

unless we pickup one of crusaders players with a dispensation or sammut proves to be off quota any further signing will be a british/french player. Historically we dont annnounce those until both our season and also club players coming from season is officially over. Not saying whether thats right strategy or not, its just what we've done in past. Coupled with fact we'll probably keep back a signing to kickstart interest in pledge campaign towards back end.
So I tend to think we wont here anymore signings, apart from re-signings of current players, until mid september.

That said we've already broken that tradition by announcing Gale already.

Hood said a few days ago there are going to be more "signings and re-signings" or similar. Mat is usually accurate about how things are done. this season the announcements seem to have started at half back and worked along to outside backs whether on purpose would be pure conjecture. So posters are focusing now/expecting a signing or two along the lines of a wing eg Pryce and a forward or two. Sporting Life today have two news items one about Ali Lauititi leaving Leeds rumoured to Wakefield the other about Wakefield signing Steve Southern who's a back rower, which leads to the question what is happening to their current back row and in particular Glenn Morrison. Interesting times, and I think as mat says we are going to have to be patient for a few weeks yet. So let the rumours continue...

Morrison could still do a job at Bradford IMO.

not for mine, if we could get morrison back then happy days.

Remember seeing Lautiiti in a few games for Leeds - came off the bench with knee wrapped up - took 1 drive and then got taken off.

A very gifted player but he's had a few knocks to the knees in the last couple of years. IMO, this is a player that would spend a bit/most of the season in the treatment room.

Plus - I think he would take some serious cash in the process.

Sammut is off quota. Maybe it isn't announced yet but it's a fact. Came from the man himself.

Glenn would be worth a punt. IMO we should have never let him go.

if we have the bonus of an extra quota spot I would like to see us put it to full use. not sure glenn would fall into that category. im suprised their has been no official announcement RE herbert

All crusaders players are off quota the RFL announced it the day after it was announced they hadnt applied for their license.
