Yes we must have paid some of the remaining 6 months of Hoy’s contract. If it was made clear to him he wasn’t getting another next year though it was in his interest to get something sorted elsewhere long term so I wouldn’t imagine it would have been a huge pay off. We might be contributing some wages but it’s not out of the realms of possibility that Bradford are paying them what they’d have earned at Hull without the needs of a pay off. We offered Rowley, Lam and Lam all big bucks. And that’s the people we know of. I’d be very surprised if we weren’t in for Bateman and Whitehead.
It’s a massive job on the club’s hands. Steady progression is what we need, not trying to play trick cards like Josh Reynolds to get us out of a hole.
