| I'm sure Tom will realise that he will get a much better deal staying at the best team in Hull.
If the extra 100k is to be used for England Internationals then Leeds will certainly have to split these monies between a few players contracts, Sinfield, (terrorist), Hall, Ablett etc
That is of course until Danny Houghton and Westerman become England regulars but by then I think the RFL would have thought up some other hairbrained scheme!

| Quote Dave K.="Dave K."There also have BJB and Hardraker at FB.
Think he could have got more chance at Hull than Leeds, saying that there are a few players in the 18's who had better seasons than him last year.
Nobody could argue that if Tom left Hull now to Leeds it would an upward move, hopefully when his contract is up in 2 years things will be different.'"
I think your wrong here. I think Leeds have developed Hardaker into the position they want, in the centre, and he looks to be great playing that position, with Ben Jones-Bishop on the wing at the minute, Brent Webb will be OOC at the end of the season, and I can see either.. BJB moving to 1, Jamel Chisholm going to 2/Signing for 2, or, Briscoe gets number one and everyone stays where they are.

Quote TheTigersVOR="TheTigersVOR"RAMBLE'"
I say this based on the article located here;
www.code13rugbyleague.com/2011/1 ... p-changes/
which highlights which teams get credited with the salary cap increases,
and it was Featherstone Lions, not Rovers (sorry if that wasn't clear)

Ramble maybe, but also the truth !
Either way thanks for your response and i see where your confusion came from.
Maybe if it read; Westerman (Hull/Cas) Hardacre (Leeds/Fev)
Sinfield (Leeds/Leeds) it would be clearer/correct.
The article is misleading and the whole concept seems to me a little odd, although i accept it may be a step in the right direction 'to enable the top clubs' to retain key players lets face it how many clubs outside the top 4/5 will this benefit anyway (i dont think with the figure of upto £100,000 it makes a massive difference - esp if you consider a player that is with you over ten years will only have half his salary counted towards the cap in comparison).
One thing i'm unclear of is to what degree you have to produce/develop a player for him to count as club developed ?
Does a player have to come through scholorship, 18's, 20's or one or two of the three ? is it based on time spent with the first club ?
If anyone knows the answer i would be interested to know !
Example for me Brett Ferres like Westy born and bred in Cas (Brett was scholar at Cas, then signed and initialy developed at Bradford, then signed and further developed at Wakefield before returning to Cas) for me Ferres (Cas/Bradford) but i dont know the full rules/details ?
Regards !
