jonh:
The whole Spanish football argument is bizarre to say the least given the issues they are having especially the 2 clubs you mention to support your position.
It shows a total lack of understanding.
Let’s put in a more realistic model of a capped sport the NRL.
Same product cash rich and growing very quickly in its market particularly this year post g record revenues, attendances and tv audiences.
Must be a coincidence it’s also their most unpredictable year that I can recall.
I’m sure you will try grasp at some more straws but using Spanish football simply highlights your ignorance and understanding of what good looks like and how we achieve it.
Last point can you recall a time when so many SL clubs had wealthy owners? You say money isn’t coming into the sport but it is via the clubs, crowds are now increasing again, social media metrics are all going the right way and we are experiencing steady controlled growth which leads to increased revenue streams.
I fear you though won’t be happy till we remove ourselves from the league become the Wigan Globe Trotters and play friendlies with a team full of superstars every week to empty stadiums clapping as we pass between our legs and take comedy catches playing against barely pro sides whilst the SL goes on without us.
Oh the irony of you talking about a lack of understanding and ignorance. What's up? Could you not understand the Deloitte article?
I'll be happy when we're not beholden to clubs with no vision.
