The Kingstone Press Championship backed up Good Friday's league programme with a full round of Easter Monday fixtures with four afternoon and two evening kick offs.

All eyes were on Toulouse as the second placed side entertained the Hull KR side looking to maintain their unbeaten run at the top while Featherstone Rovers looked to keep the pressure on the top two as they welcomed Bradford. Fifth placed London Broncos were at the Batley Bulldogs while Swinton looked for the second win of the season as they hosted Rochdale.

In the evening games, fourth placed Halifax were playing Oldham and Sheffield were at home to the Dewsbury Rams.

The top two served up a low scoring affair in Toulouse. Minga opened the scoring for the home side after just four minutes and Kheirallah kicked a penalty on the quarter hour for 6-0. Another penalty on the half hour gave Toulouse an 8-0 lead at the break which was reduced to 8-6 after sixty-six minutes when Hefernan scored a try converted by Dockar-Clay for KR. The final action of the game was a seventy-seventh minute Curran converted try to seal a 14-6 home win, narrow the Hull KR lead at the top of the table and inflict their first defeat of the season.

Featherstone were rampant against a disappointing Bradford Bulls as they secured a 44-18 win to keep third spot. Taulapapa, Hardcastle and Turner all scored in the opening fifteen minutes before a four try spree lasting just eight minutes saw Bostock, Aston (2), and Turner with his second extend the home sides lead to 38-0 at the interval. Oakes grabbed two for the Bulls at the start of the second half to save some blushes but Griffin added Rovers eighth try of the afternoon for 44-12 before a seventy-seventh minute Caro try for the Bulls to complete the afternoons scoring at the Bigfellas Stadium.

London made no mistakes in their continued quest for the top four with a 42-4 win at Batley Bulldogs. Lead, Pitts and Cunningham scored tries in the opening quarter of an hour for 16-0 but couldn't improve before the break. Garside added another on forty-five before Day got Batley's only points of the day with a four pointer. Walker scored for the Broncos on the hour mark and tries from Cunningham, Bienek and Pearce-Paul, all in the last seven minutes completed the comprehensive win.

Swinton Lions and Rochdale Hornets fought out a close game at Haywood Road which saw the home side get their second win of the campaign. Butt had opened the Swinton scoring in the first minute with a converted try and two penalties from the boot of Atkin stretched a 10-0 lead before Gailbraith scored for Rochdale and Palfrey added a penalty to the conversion for a 10-8 half time score. Massam made it 12-10 to the Hornets before Dwyer and Bracek made it 22-12 to Swinton. Tries from Massam on sixty-five and Tahraoui on seventy levelled the scores at 22-22 before am Atkin drop goal five minutes from time took the much needed win for the Lions.

It was a big win for the Sheffield Eagles over the Dewsbury Rams. Yere, Blackmore and Lo had given the Eagles a 16-0 lead but Brown and Douglas scored Dewsbury tries, both converted by Glover, for 16-12 at the break. The second half was one-way Sheffield traffic with tries from Burns, Scott and three more from Lo (for four on the night) to secure a 48-12 win thanks to eight conversions from Brown.

A Tyrer penalty and a Saltonstall converted try made it 14-0 before the Oldham fightback. Gill and Burke both scored for the Roughyeds, the second converted by Leatherbarrow for 14-10.
