It was a busy day for the RFL disciplinary panel as they considered twenty-one incidents from this weekend’s six Super League XX games.

Only Hull FC were exempt from any further scrutiny but there will have been sighs of relief all round as there were just three incidents where the panel felt that there was a requirement for further action.

The players not escaping the judiciary were Salford’s Weller Hauraki, Patrick Ah Van of Widnes and Matty Smith of Wigan.

Patrick Ah Van saw red early on in Widnes comeback draw with the Warriors and as a result was charged with a grade B offence. He had the option of an Early Guilty Plea (EGP) and accepted the punishment of a one game suspension.

Matty Smith will also miss his sides round two fixture, at home to Huddersfield, after kicking out at celebrating Widnes players late in the same match. He was also offered an EGP and accepted a one game suspension.

The third offender cited from the weekend was Salford's Weller Hauraki who was charged with a Grade B offence for dangerous contact. Hauraki didn’t have an EGP available so will attend the disciplinary tonight with the tariff of one to two games suspension if he is found guilty.
