Quote: Sonny Crockett "Pearson has had 7 years to get it right but has got it wrong every time.
Some people are happy with groundhog day and massive under-achievement and watching end of career mercenaries pocket easy, no pressure, cash...and that is what is going to be served up yet again.
Massive change in mentality needed right though the club...but if Richie's wife and father in law want to waste some money for a few years good luck to them...it won't change anything, won't last and the club/Pearson will be worse off at the end.
What kind of 'professional' sporting organisation gives a bloke THE top job because his wife throws a few quid in?'"
I don't think anyone is happy with what has happened at the club and we all know that a lot of mistakes have been made. I myself have spoken at length about the need for a change in mentality, culture, identity etc. I think that pretty much everyone knows that things need to change.
Well guess what? Things are changing. But none of us know right now how those changes are going to pan out. Myler might be the best DOR we have ever had or he might be the worst. Pearson might be selling up to the investors or they might only be taking a partial share. We just don't know right now. So we have to give them time in my opinion. Myler's only had four weeks so far and given the mess we are in, that's no time at all. Recruitment wise, we've not finished yet for next season nor do we know what kind of influence they are going to have on the squad or our performances. Nor do we know where this recruitment drive fits in bigger picture wise. These are all just the first steps.
So we shouldn't be righting them off yet. That doesn't mean that we have to be happy but it doesn't mean that we should have the knives out either. The club needs time and we fans have to give them that and be patient. There's no magic wand to fix this, no clicking of our fingers to make everything alright again.
