Lyon also went home and won an NRL grand final. French had no chance of that.

Change it to pat Richards then then he trumps Lyon whilst over here.

Don't think he is anywhere near the same level of Pat Richards or Jamie Lyon, those 2 could defend and read the game brilliantly. The significance of what French did over here was to score 7 tries and to fall asleep for Welsby to score the last second winner in such a massive game by way of the grand final.

French is a great finisher but the likes of Pat Richards and Jamie Lyon attributes are considerably much more than that.

I agree that Richards/Lyon had more attributes but not to be anywhere near that level as you have stated is a tad on being insulting as to what he has suffered this last 2 seasons to come back and do what he is doing.
Welsby was a bounce of the ball that is all could have happened to anyone.
Also this season has not ended yet so he yet could be a grand final winner.
