It's been a busy day in the video review room at the RFL disciplinary.

Out of the weekends Super Eights and Qualifiers they've spotted seven offences which they deem worthy of a charge and another three which have brought forward cautions for the offenders.

Tuesday nights disciplinary is, however, likely to be less busy as only one of the charges brought does not have an associated Early Guilty Plea (EGP) which will mean that the offender will be called in front of the committee.

There were two grade A charges, four grade B and one grade D.

Greg Bird of the Catalans Dragons has no EGP available and faces a 3 to 5 game tariff associated with his grade D charge for a dangerous throw in the twenty-fifth minute of Halifax’s Heaton.

Hull’s Gareth Ellis has been charged with a grade B dangerous contact in making a tackle on Leeds Stevie Ward in the 26th minute of the Thursday night game. Ellis has an EGP available and is likely to get a one game ban if he pleads guilty.

Team mate Steve Michaels is also charged with a grade B offence of striking with the hand, arm or shoulder on Walker in the 52nd minute. The tariff is also 1-2 games, likely to be the former with an EGP.

In the same game, Rhino Rob Burrow is also charged with a head butt (light contact) on Connor after an hour of the game. With an EGP available Burrow is likely to pick up the same single game suspension.

Ben Reynolds from Leigh Centurions has been charged with a tripping offence in the fourteenth minute of their game with Widnes Vikings. This is another grade B offence with a 1-2 game tariff, likely to be one if he takes the EGP.

Danny Walker from Widnes has been charged with a grade A reactionary trip on Stewart in the forty-first minute and if he takes the available EGP he may well get away with no further action on this occasion.

The final charge was for Ben Johnston of Halifax, also for reactionary tripping, and also as a grade A. The offence was in the twenty-second minute on Myler but Johnston is also likely to face no further action if he accepts his EGP option.

Players receiving cautions from the match review panel were Leigh’s Micky Higham for a dangerous contact, Warrington’s Ryan Atkins for striking, and Wigan's Thomas Leuluai for kicking.
