| Out of fourteen incidents reviewed by the disciplinary panel after Round Nineteen of Super League, just two have resulted in charges, while a third was deemed worthy of a written warning.
There were two controversial incidents on Sunday and it is these which have resulted in the charges with the two players involved likely to face long suspensions if found guilty.
Warrington Wolves Declan Patton is the player who receives a warning after striking out with his knee at Hull KR hooker Boudebza. No further action will be taken.
On Sunday Huddersfield Giants Brett Ferres had a moment of madness when he clean punched and grounded Rhys Hanbury in the twelfth minute of their victory over Widnes Vikings. Ferres has been charged with a Grade C offence for violent punching and would receive between two and three games if found guilty.
Perhaps the most talked about incident of the weekend was 'that tackle' by Hull FC's Marc Sneyd on Leeds Rhinos half-back Danny McGuire. Holding McGuires foot to his chest Sneyd appeared to roll over twice in the tackle which resulted in a suspected broken ankle for the Rhinos talisman. The incident occurred in the 72nd minute of the game and saw McGuire join Sneyd in the sin-bin for kicking-out.
Sneyd had been charged with a Grade D offence for dangerous contact and would face between three and five games suspension if found guilty of the offence. Leeds will no doubt be relieved (bearing in mind that he will now probably be ruled out for the rest of the season) that McGuire's involvement was deemed to be worthy of just the sin-bin and no further action will be taken against him.
UPDATE - Ferres was given a two game suspension following an Early Guilty Plea. Sneyds charge was downgraded from D to C and he was found guilty despite pleading innocent. He also received a two game suspension.
